Hello everyone!
Today, weβre exploring a new perspective on life and belief. Letβs dive into the power of self-love and forgiveness. You might be familiar with the Ten Commandments from the Bible. Theyβve been guiding people for centuries. But letβs face it, following them isnβt always easy. Many struggle with this. We see breaches of these commandments everywhere, every day.
Traditionally, weβve been taught that if we break these rules, God will punish us. This hasnβt been very effective. Why? Because itβs hard to understand and even harder to follow. We end up making the same mistakes over and over again. We havenβt learned a way to break this cycle. The idea that someone will come to punish us hasnβt helped.
I am Ndizeye Rubasha, your preacher. I speak from experience and knowledge. Today, with technology, we can share our experiences widely. Social media is a powerful tool. It spreads both good and evil, but it all starts in our minds. Our minds are incredibly powerful. They are the engines of our lives.
Consider this: what if our mind is God? Everything we do starts with a thought. This is a game-changer. It means the divine is within us. Thereβs no external God waiting to punish us. The judgment, the punishment, itβs all in our minds.
In Mark 12:29-31, there are two laws. These laws can save us from a lot of trouble. They can change your life. Letβs dive into these two rules.
The first law is to love your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. But hereβs the twist β the God we are to love is within us. You are that God. You are one with the divine. Love yourself fully.
The second law is to love your neighbor as yourself. Your neighbor isnβt just the person next door. Itβs everyone around you β your spouse, children, coworkers, everyone. When you love yourself deeply, you can extend that love to others.
These two rules are simple but powerful. They can transform your life. When you love yourself with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, you gain the power to love others the same way. This love creates a ripple effect. It touches everyone around you.
Think about it: when you do something wrong, itβs not just an offense against another person. Itβs an offense against yourself. Your mind, your God, is affected. You feel the guilt. The judgment comes from within. This is a profound realization. It means that the responsibility for our actions lies within us.
We often look outside for solutions. We want others to pray for us, to save us. But the truth is, we need to pray for ourselves. We need to look within for guidance. Your mind, your God, is your ultimate guide.
Think about how flight attendants instruct us to put on our oxygen masks first before helping others. This is a metaphor for life. Love yourself first. Take care of yourself first. Only then can you truly help others. This isnβt selfishness; itβs wisdom.
These two rules are all you need. They set you free from the struggle of following the ten commandments. They simplify life. You wonβt harm others if you follow these rules. You wonβt steal, lie, or gossip. Your life will change for the better.
I learned these rules later in life, at 52. But it doesnβt matter when you learn them. Itβs never too late. Age is irrelevant. Your experiences, your journey, all lead you to this point.
Forgiveness is a crucial part of this journey. Forgive everyone who has wronged you. You donβt need to tell them. Forgive them in your heart. This act of forgiveness frees you. It removes the burden of hatred and resentment from your mind.
Your mind is powerful. It remembers everything β the good and the bad. You canβt control these memories. They come and go. But when you forgive, you heal. You let go of the negativity. This is how you change your life.
Every conflict you have starts within you. Itβs your mind that brings these conflicts. The people you trust, the situations you face β they are reflections of your inner world. Take responsibility for your life. Donβt blame others.
Judgment is within you. Every wrong you commit, every sin, stays in your mind. It doesnβt matter if others know about it or not. You know. Your mind knows. Your God knows. This self-awareness is crucial. It guides you towards better choices.
Remember, love is the answer. Choose love over hate. Choose kindness over cruelty. This choice sets you free. It brings peace. It transforms your life.
In conclusion, embrace these two commandments. Love yourself. Love others. Recognize the divine within you. This realization will change everything. Youβll find peace, happiness, and fulfillment.
