I wanted to talk about the power of collaboration and utilizing your imagination to achieve results.
We have been running our family podcast for over a year and a half. One day, my Dad came to me and said, ‘Hey Sugira, why don’t we start a podcast?’
At that time, I was already a content creator with my personal channel, where I had firsthand experience growing a significant following.
Observing the social media landscape, I could see the video podcasting industry taking off, making it a perfect time to get in.
I told him, ‘Let’s do it.’
Despite lacking equipment, except for a camera and iPhone I was already using, we stumbled across podcasting equipment from my older brother.
Then, we recorded our first episode, titled ‘IS AFRICAN CULTURE DESTROYING US?’
We were just having conversations we would typically have off-camera, and we decided to turn the camera on. Despite not having the best quality, only one camera, we did it.
Starting out, statistics say that 90% of podcasters don’t make it past episode 3. As of now, we have over 982 videos on YouTube and over 50 episodes on our new host on Spotify for Podcasters.
Now, about this strategic collaboration.
Like you, we have a gift, a passion, and stories that we need to get out to the world. Spotify for Podcasters is our new podcast host.
Spotify is now the medium through which we release amazing content to you.
We are strong believers in the power of video podcasts, and we plan on dropping exclusive video content first on Spotify.
I am a huge fan of Spotify CEO Daniel Ek, his story, and how he has materialized his visions to life.
We believe Spotify is a forward-thinking company that can see the future and is headed there.
